§ 01 — Statement

Private rights enforcement for the modern music industry.

Private organization · Not a law firm · Not a government agency

Digital distribution has made it easier than ever for unauthorized parties to upload, monetize, and claim recordings they do not control. SoundRights exists to help verified rights holders respond with structure, evidence, and professional enforcement communication.

SoundRights supports artists, labels, managers, publishers, estates, catalog owners, and music companies in platform-facing and distributor-facing rights disputes. The organization does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee specific outcomes; every action is conditioned on verified authority, sufficient evidence, and a clearly defined requested action.

§ 02
Verification

Verified rights. Verified representation.

SoundRights acts only where a valid rights basis and authorization can be established. Every case requires supporting documentation, clear ownership information, and a defined requested action before enforcement communication is initiated.

Required Before Action
  • 01Identification of the rights holder and the rights controlled.
  • 02Authorization from the rights holder where the submitter is acting as a representative.
  • 03Supporting documentation establishing ownership, control, or administration.
  • 04Affected platform links, identifiers, and release history.
  • 05A defined, narrowly drafted requested action.
Accepted Documentation
  • Signed letter of authorization
  • Management agreement
  • Label agreement
  • Distribution agreement
  • Copyright assignment
  • Exclusive license
  • Publishing agreement
  • Producer agreement

  • Original source / project files

Cases without sufficient proof may be declined or held pending additional documentation. Submission of a case does not guarantee acceptance, takedown, royalty hold, correction, or resolution.
